Comanche Canine Program

Comanche Outdoors Teams With Backyard Canine Academy
Comanche Outdoors works with Backyard Canine Academy on a regular basis to provide a program that seeks to pair trained dogs with a servicemember, veteran, or first responder.
These animals are screened and trained by Backyard Canine Academy in North Carolina. The academy is owned and operated by Chris Weber who is a prior Marine and current Law Enforcement Professional. Chris has a passion for training dogs, and once worked as a trainer for a Nonprofit dedicated to placing dogs with veterans. Chris’ continuous evaluation of our animals allows him to select the best possible pairing he believes will support the animal and their new families.
We aim to provide quality trained canines within our community to foster companionship, exercise, and maybe even some new outdoor hobbies. All geared toward improving the overall welfare of both the animal and their families. Studies show that dogs reduce stress, anxiety, and depression; ease loneliness; encourage exercise and improve overall health.
